by Katie Easley Katie Elizabeth Croft Walker is the mother of Grandma Lena Mildred Walker Smith. Katie was born May 1, 1887, in Huntington, Utah, her father Edward, was 32 from Lancashire, England, and her mother Esther, was 21 from Cedar City, Utah. Esther was Edward’s third wife. Katie was Esther’s oldest child of six children. The youngest sibling died at birth in 1904. At the time Katie was born, Edward had 2 older children from his first marriage. One of these was Margaret who was 4 months old. Eventually there were a total of 16 children between 3 wives.
